The lithium battery valve typically consists of a metal disk, a spring, and a sealing material. Under normal conditions, the valve remains closed, sealing the battery’s interior. However, when the internal pressure exceeds a preset safe limit, the metal disk is forced open by the accumulated pressure, releasing the gases. Once the pressure drops back to a safe level, the spring pushes the metal disk back into its seat, sealing the valve and preventing further gas leakage.
